Since its beginnings, the members of the Academic Society have included:

• figures from business and society who place special value on opportunities to keep in touch with and support science and research in Freiburg,
• members of the university and external research institutions in Freiburg who want to support up-and-coming researchers and innovative research projects,
• and enterprises that regard financial support for research as an investment in the future.
• The annual membership fee currently stands at €60 for individual members, €120 for companies and corporate bodies, and €20 for doctoral candidates – any higher amount is always welcome!
